The BSV Centre, in partnership with the
Environment and Sustainability Program at UWO,
hosted an
Interdisciplinary Luncheon focusing on
"Society's Impact on the Natural Ecosystem".
Speakers from across departments at UWO shared
their knowledge and research with the audience.
October 6th, 2009 -
Ivey Idea Forum focusing on Organizational
Resilience: Surviving and Thriving through
Crises, held at the ING Leadership Centre
in Toronto and hosted by Tima Bansal, and
Valerie Chort from Deloitte.
October 1st, 2009 - The Centre for
Building Sustainable Value organized a track on
Energy and Environment at a SSHRC sponsored
event at HEC Montreal on Oct 1, 2009 titled:
Advancing Canada’s Competitive Advantage.
The purpose of the event was to help inform
SSHRC’s policy on the Management, Business and
Finance strategic grants, and discuss the state
of the art in knowledge and practice. Thanks to
Guy Holburn for being one of the panellists and
Rod White for moderating a panel.
August 24th, 2009 - A UWO research
team including Ivey's Guy Holburn, was successful in their $24M CFI application for a new 3D wind dome. This is a significant win for the university, as this dome will be the first of its kind, and follow the leadership role set by UWO’s Boundary Wind Tunnel. Ivey’s portion of the money will be used to fund wind energy research.
