The Centre for Building Sustainable Value
has partnered with Canadian
Business for Social Responsibility and the Network
for Business Sustainability to host a workshop for
senior executives on embedding sustainability in
corporate cultures. The workshop will be held at
the Ivey ING Leadership Centre in Toronto.
Participants will develop a framework for
building cultures of sustainability and identify
best practices and key challenges. Tima Bansal
will be moderating the workshop.

Advisor, Economic Development Unit, CARE USA.
Farouk Jiwa will provide an interactive bootcamp
on social enterprise, drawing on his work with
CARE Canada and CARE USA, his entrepreneurial
experience, and his close collaborations with
many social entrepreneurs and difference makers.

hire students for a unique opportunity to
write case studies on nominees for the inaugural
Sustainability in Business Award. Deadline to

The BSV Centre would like to announce
three Fellows of the Centre for 2010/11: Oana
Branzei, Allison Johnson, and Fredrik Odegaard.
They will be awarded $2500 each to support their
academic pursuits. Each has contributed
substantially to raise the profile of the
school.

Sustainability Awards. Canadian
companies will be recognized for the valuable
work they are undertaking in sustainability.

Sustainability Academy brings together 15 top
PhD students researching sustainability with
world-class academic and senior business
leaders. The goal is to offer an experientially
rich environment to help nurture and advance PhD
students’ academic thinking and teaching
capabilities.

hosted an
Interdisciplinary Luncheon focusing on
"Society's Impact on the Natural Ecosystem".
Speakers from across departments at UWO shared
their knowledge and research with the audience.
