DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS

The following doctoral candidates have undertaken research that is relevant to the Entrepreneurship Cross-Enterprise Leadership Centre:

 

Nina Rosenbusch
 

Nina Rosenbusch is a visiting post-doctoral researcher at the Richard Ivey School of Business. Her current research program on exploration and exploitation activities in the context of internationalization is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service.
Nina's main research interests focus on innovation, ambidexterity and the determinants of firm success, including the determinants of long-term IPO performance. She collaborates with internationally renowned scholars from various disciplines to conduct primary field studies as well as meta-analytic research. Her work has been accepted for publication in Journal of Business Venturing and presented at international entrepreneurship and management conferences. In 2008, Nina received her PhD from the University of Jena, Germany, where she worked as a post-doctoral researcher prior to her stay at the Ivey School of Business. From 2001-2004, Nina worked in the international business development department of a German asset management company.
 

Bahareh Tehrani
 

Bahareh is a PhD Candidate in General Management. Her research interests include entrepreneurship, firm survival and failure, entrepreneurship in developing countries and innovation. Bahareh received her Msc. in Management Sciences from University of Waterloo. Prior to joining Ivey, Bahareh has worked as an industrial engineer (project management) on several projects.


 

Matthew Wong

Matthew is a PhD candidate in General Management. His research interests include Entrepreneurial skills and capabilities assessment, expertise, leadership in small organizations, mobile information and communication technologies and changing nature of contemporary work.
 

Matthias Tietz

Matthias is a PhD Candidate in General Management. His research interests include entrepreneurship and its differences from intrapreneurship. Matthias received his MA in Strategy and International Management from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland and his MBA from the Nanyang Business School in Singapore. Prior to joining Ivey Matthias has worked in various consulting projects in South America, Europe and Asia, mainly in executive education and in the HR domain.
 

Fei (Sophie) Zhu

Sophie is a PhD candidate in General Management. Her research interests include comparative studies of corporate entrepreneurship in Chinese and US/Canadian companies, corporate social responsibility in the Chinese context, and strategic leadership.
