The BSV Centre would like to announce three
Fellows of the Centre for 2010/11:
Oana
Branzei, Allison Johnson, and
Fredrik
Odegaard. They will be awarded $2500 each to
support their academic pursuits. Each has
contributed substantially to raise the
profile of the school: Oana Branzei for the
PhD Sustainability Academy and Bootcamps;
Allison Johnson for the Business
Sustainability Awards with SAP, and Fredrik
Odegaard for his support of Ivey Connects.

Rob Klassen has been awarded the prestigious D. Wickham Skinner Teaching Achievement Award
in 2009 for his teaching contributions to Sustainable Business Practices. The award announcement indicated that Rob is “a role model for the POM
teaching community”.

Robert
Klassen received the 2008 Page Prize for
Environmental Sustainability Curriculum. The
award acknowledges efforts to introduce or
upgrade environmental sustainability courses
and course work into the curriculum at
business schools. Specifically,
his course "Managing for
Sustainability Development" won in the
International category.

Tima Bansal
was named 2008 Faculty Pioneer for Academic
Leadership by Aspen Institute. The
award recognizes MBA faculty who have
demonstrated leadership and risk-taking in
integrating social and environment issues
into academic research, education and
practice.
- Canadian
Blood Services, October 23, 2006. During its
seventh annual national “Honouring our
LifeBlood” event in Ottawa, the
Richard Ivey
School of Business was recognized as an
outstanding corporate partner. The school
has supported Canadian Blood services
through its internship programs, consulting
projects, and its blood donor clinics.
- World
Resources Institute and Aspen Institute,
Beyond Grey Pinstripes, 2005. Based on their
biennial survey of MBA programs worldwide,
these two institutes ranks the MBA programs
that lead the way in integrating issues of
social and environmental stewardship into
business school curricula and research. The
Richard Ivey School of Business ranked 14th
in this survey.

Resources Institute and Aspen Institute,
Faculty Pioneer, 2005. Professor
Tima Bansal was a
finalist for this award, which recognizes
faculty that are leaders in integrating
social and environmental issues into their
research and teaching both on as well as off
campus.
