What is EQUIS?
What need does EQUIS meet?
What does EQUIS re-accreditation mean for Ivey?
Our re-accreditation for another five-year term received in April 2012 confirms our excellent global reputation and the exceptional quality of students, staff and facilities.
- EQUIS accreditation focuses on all of the activities of an institution, including research, executive education and community outreach. It looks for balance between high academic quality and the professional relevance provided by close interaction with the corporate world.
- EQUIS accreditation highlights the extraordinary quality of all programs offered at Ivey – from HBA to PhD. The awarding body took particular note of Ivey’s superior reputation, both within Canada and internationally, our leading position as an advocate of the case method and state-of-the-art facilities as symbolized in the new building.
- As of April 2012, 138 business schools have been awarded EQUIS with 38 countries represented among the accredited schools. There are nine schools that have received EQUIS in Canada.
