Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives of Sustainability - Session 3

 Workshop will take place in the Ivey building on main campus of UWO - ROOM 2R09.

This multidisciplinary business sustainability workshop includes a series of six sessions, each facilitated by a faculty member representing a different academic discipline - natural sciences, social sciences, and the arts and humanities.  Sessions will take place every other Thursday beginning on January 19 from 12 noon to 1:45 pm.  Lunch will be provided.

Session 1 on January 19 features Ivey Professor Tima Bansal, Director, Ivey's Centre for Building Sustainable Value on the topic of business sustainability.

Session 2 on February 2 features Faculty of Law Professor Sara Seck on the topic of Law, sustainability and business.

Session 3 on February 16 features Professor Irena Creed, Department of Biology, on the topic of Society's vulnerable groups as indicators of sustainability.

Session 4 on March 1 features Professor Eric Desjardin, Department of Philosophy, on the topic of sustainability and ecological adaptive management.

Session 5 on March 15 features Professor Brian Branfireun, Department of Biology, on the topic of climate and land-use change in sensitive ecosystems.

Session 6 on March 29 features Professor Gord Southam, Department of Earth Sciences, on the topic of mining/materials extraction.

These workshops are open to faculty members and PhD students across campus.  You may attend one or all of the sessions.  Those interested in participating should contact Professor Tima Bansal at tbansal@ivey.uwo.ca .

Workshops are hosted by the Richard Ivey School of Business and are sponsored by RBC and the Centre for Environment and Sustainability at Ivey.
