Adrian Guerin
Adrian is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. His research interests are in the areas of environmental issues, policy and program evaluation, and applied econometrics.

Akash Jain
Akash is in his 4th year of the PPE program (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) at Western University. Akash is Vice President, Advocacy for the Social Science Students' Council at Western University.

Luis Mazzali
Luis is in his 4th year of the PPE program (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) at Western University.

Allan Muriuki
Allan is a 3rd year student in the department of Economics at Western University. He is pursuing an Honors specialization in Global Economics.

Sorena Rahi
Sorena is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. His research with the Energy Centre involves studying the investment climate for Canada’s energy sector, as well as investment conditions within Canada’s clean energy technology sector.

Murat Sirin
Murat is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. His research interests include renewable energy policies, firm strategies in electricity markets, and the role of business in energy transition.

Sorena Rahi
Sorena is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. His research with the Energy Centre involves studying the investment climate for Canada’s energy sector, as well as investment conditions within Canada’s clean energy technology sector.

Kartik Rao
Kartik received his PhD from the Ivey Business School in 2019. His research interests lie at the intersection of firm strategy and public policy with an emphasis of firms’ interactions with political and societal stakeholders in the non-market environment.

Murat Sirin
Murat is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. His research interests include renewable energy policies, firm strategies in electricity markets, and the role of business in energy transition.

2019-20

Ramin Alahdad
Ramin is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from Sharif University of Technology.

Jiya Hai
Jiya is a dual degree undergraduate student, studying Political Science and Business at Western University. She is a Policy Analyst at the Leadership and Democracy Lab, a think tank at Western University. Her work with the Ivey Energy Policy and Management Centre involves writing and editing Policy Briefs, blog posts, and research papers.

Sorena is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, and is interested in how firms integrate their strategies in both the market and non-market environment to achieve their desired policy outcomes. 

Jordan Tepper
Jordan is an undergraduate student studying Business Administration at the Ivey Business School. He is pursuing the Ivey Sustainability Certificate. 

Jerry Zhou
Jerry is an undergraduate student pursuing a dual HBA-BESc degree at Western University. Zhou's main project is a survey studying the investment climate for the energy sector in Canada.

Sorena Rahi
Sorena is a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, and is interested in how firms integrate their strategies in both the market and non-market environment to achieve their desired policy outcomes. 

2017-18

Kartik Rao
Kartik was a PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, and Public Policy at the Ivey Business School. He completed his PhD in 2019. His research with the Ivey Energy Policy and Management Centre involved examining the effects of Ontario’s Green Energy Act on the wind turbine development process. As part of his PhD thesis, he examined how competition between electric utility firms shapes regulatory outcomes.

2016-17

Joseph Arya
Joseph received his HBA from the Ivey Business School in 2017. His research with the Energy Centre involved analyzing capacity market structures and regulatory costs involved with pipeline project development.

Andrew Smith
Andrew received his HBA from the Ivey Business School in 2017. His research with the Energy Centre involved examining electricity capacity markets in different jurisdictions, and researching renewable portfolio standards for all US states between 1990 and 2015.

Jack Swadron
Jack's experience in the Corporations and Society course at the Ivey Business School led him to develop a greater interest in energy policy. His work with the Energy Centre involved exploring the governance of local electricity distribution companies in Ontario.

2015-16

Alexander Cebulski
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geographic Information Science at Western University. He previously worked for the Catchment Research Facility assisting with field work and computer modelling techniques to understand human impacts on the landscape. Using his expertise in mapping and spatial analysis, he assisted the Energy Centre with quantifying social resistance to wind farms in Ontario.

Caley Savage
Caley holds a dual honours degree in Geography and Business Administration from the Ivey Business School. She has worked as a market risk analyst as well as conducted studies on First Nations’ responses to nuclear waste. Caley worked with the Energy Centre on quantifying social resistance to wind farms in Ontario.

Faye Zhou
Originally from China, Faye is a recent graduate of the Honors Business Administration program at the Ivey Business School. She has worked as a M&A and Project finance analyst and conducted market research on wind and thermal power plants for Northland Power Inc. Faye worked with the Energy Centre on studying factors that influence utility rate case decisions in the United States. 

2014-15

Regan Christensen
Regan holds a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from Western Law and the Ivey Business School. His research with the Energy Centre focused on corporate governance structures and strategic decision-making of various Local Distribution Companies within Ontario.

Nick Cummings
Nick holds a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from Western Law and the Ivey Business School. His research with the Energy Centre also focused on corporate governance structures and strategic decision-making of various Local Distribution Companies within Ontario.

Gareth Everard
Gareth holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in environmental science at Western University. He worked with the Ivey Building Sustainable Value Centre and the Network for Business Sustainability from 2013-2015. His research with the Energy Centre generated a report on the impact of social factors on wind turbine project development.

Chad Gray
Chad holds a dual degree in Chemical Engineering and Business Administration. He is pursuing his P.Eng designation with TransCanada as a project engineer. His research with the Energy Centre focused on factors affecting wind farm development in Ontario.

Pradeep Venkatesh
Originally from British Columbia, Pradeep holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Applied Mathematics (Financial Modeling) and Global Political Economy. He is a Scholars Elective student and holder of the W.S. Fyfe Faculty of Science Scholarship. His research with the Energy Centre focused on defining the international importance of Canada’s energy sector.

2013-14

Emily Ng
Emily completed a combined Honors Business Administration and Juris Doctor degree from the Ivey Business School and Western Law. Her research with the Energy Centre involved determining how business covenants impact regulatory approvals of M&A transactions between American electric utilities.

André Wilkie
André graduated from the Ivey Business School's Honors Business Administration program in June 2014. His research interests included how energy companies manage stakeholder relations, especially with Aboriginal communities.

2012-13

Daniel Berry
Daniel is a graduate of the Ivey Business School. He now works as a Specialist at Plains Midstream Canada. His research with the Energy Centre involved a case on StormFisher Biogas, and a policy brief on wind energy in Canada.

Anisha George
Anisha is a graduate of the Ivey Business School. She now works as a Quality Control Officer at Tanzania Renewable Energy Association. Her research with the Energy Centre involved writing a policy brief titled, "Trends in Academic Research on Canadian Energy Policy, 2000-2012."

Patrick McNaught
Patrick is a graduate of the Ivey Business School. He now works as a Business Analyst at Alta Gas. His research with the Energy Centre involved contributing to a policy brief on wind energy in Canada.
