QuantumShift™ is a rigorous five-day developmental program for Canada's most promising entrepreneurs. Only 40 business entrepreneurs are accepted into this exclusive program annually. They are nominated by KPMG Enterprise, with final selection determined by the Institute for Entrepreneurship at Ivey. Those selected are awarded a subsidy from Ivey and KPMG Enterprise, which offsets a significant portion of the program's cost.

Robert NourseIn addition to being an Adjunct Professor at the Richard Ivey School of Business, Robert Nourse is the Chairman of Arena Growth Ventures, a private investment company in Santa Barbara, California. Robert was previously the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bombay Company Inc., a company he founded and built into a publicly traded NYSE corporation with 450 stores throughout the United States and Canada. In recognition of his success in building and growing The Bombay Company, he is a past national winner of Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the United States, as well as, the Ivey Business Leader Award in Canada. Lyn PurdyLyn Purdy, Professor of Organizational Behaviour, teaches courses on Organizational Change, Career Management and Management of People for Exceptional Performance. She teaches Ivey's degree programs (HBA, MBA and Executive MBA) and in Ivey's public and custom executive development programs. She has extensive experience facilitating skills development workshops and coaching feedback sessions. Lyn has written a number of publications in the area of the organizational and behavioural impacts of implementing new technologies and techniques in manufacturing and non-manufacturing firms. Michael SiderMichael Sider, Professor of Management Communication, has extensive teaching experience in both degree and executive education and is an expert on intercultural communications. His teaching workshops have helped professors to become more accomplished teachers. David SimpsonDavid Simpson is a London based financier with a broad range of business experiences and a passion for Entrepreneurship. He has financed and operated a diverse range of businesses including restaurants, golf courses, aircraft leasing, oil field serves and retail. He completed an undergraduate degree (Political Science) by part time study while he played professional hockey. Upon retirement from hockey, he completed an MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business in 1988. Upon graduation, he began his career as an entrepreneur engaging in all aspects of corporate finance in the small business sector. In 1989, he was the co-founder of The New Enterprise Workshop, one of the earliest attempts (supported by the Provincial Government) to support fledgling entrepreneurs. As an operator himself in a Family Business, he is keen to support Ivey's efforts to understand and support learning in this vital sector of the Canadian economy. As a practicing entrepreneur, he has a passion to promote this lifestyle choice at Ivey. |
