RESEARCH/COURSE
DEVELOPMENT
Srini's research focuses on models for revenue
management - the set of techniques used by
airlines, hotels and other service providers to
maximize revenue from fixed, perishable
capacity. His research provides insights on a
number of revenue management and pricing issues.
Specifically, he examines how competitive
considerations and dynamic interactions affect
traditional revenue mangement decisions, how
distressed inventory can be scientifically
managed and how online selling and distribution
are altering the economics of the travel
industry.
Srini teaches the Management Science core course
in the HBA program. He received the David G.
Burgoyne award for Outstanding Commitment to
Student Development in 2006.
