Bob Nourse is Chairman of Arena Growth Ventures, a private investment company based in Santa Barbara, California.As an adjunct professor since 2001, he has taught the Ivey MBA elective course, The Entrepreneurial Manager, as well as serving on the faculty of Quantum Shift, Ivey's executive program for entrepreneurial CEOs.

Starting and growing young ventures is something Bob is well familiar with. He is a past Vice President and Director of Venturetek International Limited, a Canadian private equity firm with extensive international holdings in consumer goods and high technology companies. In 1980, he left Venturetek to found The Bombay Company of Canada and, over the next 17 years, built it from a single location into a publicly-traded NYSE corporation with over 450 stores and 6,000 employees throughout North America. Currently, through Arena Growth Ventures, he serves as an investor and advisor in a number of young, growing companies. Among these are ScentAir Technologies, Inc., a Charlotte, NC company specializing in the use of environment scent in commercial settings; Gazoo Mobile, Inc., a Toronto firm developing smart phone software for business and enterprise applications; Linea Marketing Group, Inc., a seller of picture frames and decorative home accessories and Bailey Street, Inc., a Dallas-based importer and marketer of proprietary occasional furniture.

Bob also brings to Ivey a strong academic background from his earlier experience as a full time faculty member at both Ivey and Harvard Business School.  He has served as Professor and Chairman of Ivey's MBA program as well as head of the executive education program, the Marketing Management Course.    He is a past Chairman of the Board of Visitors at the Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University, and, from 1994 to 2008, was a member of the Ivey's Advisory Board.   Bob holds a BSc in electrical engineering from Queen's University, an MBA from Ivey and a doctorate from Harvard Business School.
