Ivey's Health Sector MBA

Developing Health Sector Leaders

The objective of the Health Sector MBA is to train leaders who possess the capabilities and business skills to lead, shape, and change the health care system in Canada and globally.

Worldwide, the health sector is one of the largest and most rapidly growing segments of the economy. In 2008, health care costs in Canada, and most other developed countries, were approximately 10% of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the United States, health care costs were a staggering 15% of the country's GDP.

Currently, the health sector is subject to unprecedented pressures and is undergoing revolutionary change. The Ivey Health Sector stream provides students with the skills and knowledge to utilize best private and public sector managerial practices in assuming a leadership role in meeting these challenges.
