LONDON,
ON, September 11, 2009 - Richard
Ivey School of Business faculty joined
representatives from CFA Institute and
Toronto CFA Society for an official
signing ceremony, celebrating Ivey's
entry into the CFA Program Partner
initiative. CFA Institute is the global
association for investment professionals
that awards the prestigious CFA
designation. The partnering programs
include Ivey's MBA Program.
"Ivey is

Institute, such a highly-regarded
partner, to provide this valuable
opportunity to our students,
particularly those who are seeking to
obtain the CFA charter," said Steve
Foerster, CFA, professor of Finance,
Richard Ivey School of Business.
In
welcoming Ivey, Bob McLean, CFA, head of
university relations at CFA Institute
stated, "establishing the CFA Program
Partnership demonstrates, to potential
students and to employers, that Ivey is
committed to maintaining high standards
in professional education. It also
demonstrates recognition of the critical
role of ethics in preparation for
careers in financial markets."
