businesses face the same challenges of
other businesses with the addition of
special dynamics of ownership,
leadership and management by family
members," said David Simpson, Executive

Centre, Richard Ivey School of Business.
"Despite these challenges, they
outperform and outlast traditional
businesses, even in tough economies.
