Ken Hardy shares view on whether
holiday shopping will bring retailers
out of the red
December 2009
More shoppers may have hit the malls
in the U.S. this past weekend, but
they're spending less as retailers are
now in the thick of the holiday shopping
season.
Ken Hardy, Professor Emeritus of
Marketing, Richard Ivey School of
Business, can comment on the outlook for
retailers and how retailers can market
to consumers in a bargain-focused
economy.
"Early pre-Christmas sales events are
promising, but nobody is taking any
chances; retailers load up on
promotions," said Hardy.
