Microsoft Canada leader to discuss importance of innovation 

Eric Gales to share his thoughts on leading in a fast-changing industry


LONDON, ON, February 2, 2010 - In the fast-paced world of technology, constant innovation is key. Eric Gales, President of Microsoft Canada, will discuss his personal approach to leadership and the role leadership plays in rapidly evolving industries such as software and technology.

Gales is President of Microsoft Canada. He has more than 20 years of experience in IT and joined Microsoft Canada three years ago as Vice-President, Small Business and Midmarket Solutions & Partners.

"The pace of change is quickening and the impacts of new technologies are growing more profound, whether in the world of business, entertainment or personal communication," said Tima Bansal, Director of the Centre for Building Sustainable Value, Richard Ivey School of Business, which is hosting the event. "We are pleased to have such a high-calibre business leader share insights on how to deal with challenges in this sector."
