The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2013 stood at 52.2. The corresponding figure for April 2012 was 52.7 and for April 2011 was 57.8.

Following a rigorous international search, Western University today announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) Kennedy as the new Dean of the Ivey Business School. He has accepted a five-year term, which commences October 1, 2013.

Large Canadian Farms Making Record Investments Despite Recession

In 2009, in the midst of a global economic recession total investments on Canadian farms exceeded $11.4 billion, up from $8.2 billion in 2001. The latest research from Ivey School of Business Agri-food Innovation Centre entitled Investment and Growth on Canadian Farms 2001-2009 found over that period large farms on average increased their investments almost continuously while investments by small and medium farms were generally showing a downward trend.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2013 stood at 51.1. The corresponding figure for February 2012 was 66.5 and for February 2011 was 70.8.
Ivey wins multiple awards at the EFMD International Case Writing Competition

Faculty members from the Richard Ivey School of Business have been awarded the top honours in three of fourteen categories in this year’s European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD) case writing competition. Ivey authored cases won in more categories than any other business school in the world.
