Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2012 stood at 66.5.  The corresponding figure for February  2011 was 70.8  and for February 2010 was 52.9.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for  February  stood at 58.8,  Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 54.9, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.8 and Prices (seasonally adjusted) were 73.1.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February is 66.0, Employment 55.4, Inventories 54.8, Supplier Deliveries 48.9 and Prices 74.4

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
