EQUIS re-accreditation confirms Ivey’s global reputation and high quality students, faculty and facilities.
London, Ontario (April 30, 2012) – Building on its excellent global reputation and firmly based on the exceptional quality of students, staff and facilities, Richard Ivey School of Business has been awarded EQUIS re-accreditation for a five-year period.
EQUIS accreditation highlights the extraordinary quality of all programs offered at Ivey – HBA, MSc, MBA, PhD and Executive Development – an important consideration as companies recruit worldwide and students seek educational experiences beyond their borders.
The awarding body took particular note of Ivey’s superior reputation, both within Canada and internationally, our leading position as an advocate of the case method and state-of-the-art facilities as symbolized in the new building.
“The EQUIS accreditation is confirmation of Ivey’s global brand and reflects the critical importance our international strategy plays in all Ivey degree programs,” said Dean Carol Stephenson. “With a well-established presence in Hong Kong, an office in Mumbai and new partnerships with India’s top business schools, executive development offerings around the world and recognition as the leading producer of Asian and Indian business cases, our global impact will continue to grow.”
EQUIS accreditation focuses on all of the activities of an institution, including research, executive education and community outreach. It looks for balance between high academic quality and the professional relevance provided by close interaction with the corporate world.
What is EQUIS?
EQUIS (the European Quality Improvement System) is the accrediting body of the European Federation for Management Development (EFMD) and the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration.

Ivey was last accredited in 2007.
