Ivey Awards and Scholarships

All Ivey MSc applicants are eligible to receive an Ivey MSc Scholarship, by completing the Financial Aid section of the MSc Program application. The scholarship process is extremely competitive due to the high calibre of students admitted to the Ivey MSc program.

While scholarship applicants are assessed primarily on academic merit, we also consider leadership skills and international engagement as demonstrated through education, activities and work experience.

Candidates who have been selected for an Ivey MSc Scholarship will be notified in their official MSc offer package.  

Government Funding Opportunities

Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS)

Candidates for the Ivey MSc program may be eligible (based on a minimum average of 80%) to apply for an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS).  Recipients of the OGS who attend the Ivey MSc Program will receive $15,000.

OGS receives well over 10,000 eligible applications from Ontario universities every year. This year 2,000 scholarships will be awarded of which 60 will be awarded to students who have been admitted to Canada as visitors with a student authorization/study permit.

This valuable scholarship does have an intensive application process, requiring a Plan of Study, 2 academic reference letters, and official transcripts.  Application due dates have not yet been set for 2012, but applications are typically due to the Ivey Financial Aid Office in early October.  For further details regarding eligibility, along with a link to the application, please see Western's SGPS External Funding page (scroll down to view External Funding and then you will find OGS in the list). External Scholarship Opportunities

Ivey MSc students will find themselves in the classroom with aspiring leaders destined for career success. This makes applicants to the Ivey MSc Program very competitive for a variety of external scholarship opportunities. We encourage all students to check www.studentawards.com, www.iefa.org and www.scholarshipscanada.com. These sites contain numerous awards and one of them may be just right for you. The Ivey Financial Aid office will provide information regarding external scholarship opportunities that we become aware of to current Ivey MSc students primarily through the MSc student association newsletters.
