Amidst the burden of Greece’s debt and the conflict with the Eurozone, Greece now faces a dilemma: should it stay in the Eurozone or make an exit?

Professor George Athanassakos refers to this dilemma as “a toxic deal or a disorderly exit.”

In his op-ed for Canadian Investment Review, Athanassakos examined Greece’s unstable economy and political corruption and addressed the misunderstanding and poor handling of Greece within the Eurozone.

“An old culture like Greece’s is very hard to turn around overnight,” said Athanassakos. “It needs time Europeans were not willing to give.”
