Tessa and Scott will visit the Ivey Business School as part of the annual leadership event in the HBA program.  This event is made possible through a generous donation by Kathleen and Bill Troost.  Their presentation is "Dreaming Big, Working Together and Overcoming Obstacles".

Over a seventeen year ice dance partnership Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir have become two of Canada’s most decorated athletes. First paired together at the age of seven and nine by Scott’s aunt Carol, Tessa and Scott came onto the figure skating scene in 2006 when they won the World Junior Figure Skating Championship. At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, Tessa and Scott captured gold in front a Canadian crowd. The pair’s success would continue a mere six weeks later when they won their first of two World Figure Skating Championships (2010, 2012). Coming off the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Tessa and Scott brought home two silvers medals in Team Figure Skating and Ice Dance. Tessa and Scott are also a record holding six-time Canadian National Figure Skating Champions.

Travelling the world, Tessa gained an adoration for fashion, beauty and romance and how they are all interconnected with the sport she loves. A fun, loveable and artistic girl next door, Tessa enjoys the artistry in figure skating from wardrobe creativity and selection to hair and make-up.

Scott is an outgoing, positive and all around jokester, who enjoys relaxing with childhood friends at his family’s farm in Ilderton, listening to country music and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
