The Globe and Mail featured Ivey’s Master of Science Management (MSc) program and the idea of “pre-experience” master programs in business schools, a trend that has been more dominant in Europe.

Assistant Professor Andreas Schotter, Academic Director of the MSc program, spoke on the demand for specialized skills at an early stage and the development of “pre-experience” business programs moving into North America.

“There is a stronger demand out there for deeper skill building at an earlier stage,” said Schotter. “Students come out with additional applied skills.”

Ivey plans to introduce two more 16-month MSc streams in January 2016 – data analytics, and entrepreneurship and innovation.
