LONDON, ON, October 6, 2014 -- The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2014 stood at 58.6. The corresponding figure for September 2013 was 51.9 and for September 2012 was 60.4.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September stood at 53.0. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 60.0, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 42.7 and Prices were 71.6.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of September is 65.2, Employment 53.3, Inventories 62.2, Supplier Deliveries 42.5 and Prices 69.8.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
