An Ivey tradition that spans generations

Graduates from Ivey’s HBA, MSc, MBA and Executive MBA programs crossed the stage and proceeded to take the Ivey Pledge in the Ring Tradition Ceremony – with one particularly special moment.

Gerald Knowlton, HBA ’55, and his granddaughter Emily Duggan, HBA ’14 took the Pledge and received their Ivey Rings together. Since 2004, every graduate of an Ivey degree program has taken the Pledge, and many alumni who graduated prior have returned to do the same. In fact, more than 7,500 rings have been given out since its inception.

Knowlton, a long-time Ivey Advisory Board member, will also be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ivey Alumni Association/Calgary Chapter on Global Ivey Day for his long-standing support of the School.

Congratulations to the class of 2014!
