The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2014 stood at 46.9. The corresponding figure for June 2013 was 55.3 and for June 2012 was 49.0.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June stood at 45.6. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.4, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 44.2 and Prices were 53.6.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of June is 49.7, Employment 49.0, Inventories 45.5, Supplier Deliveries 46.7 and Prices 53.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
