Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2015 stood at 49.7. The corresponding figure for February 2014 was 57.2 and for February 2013 was 51.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February stood at 47.3. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 47.4, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 47.3 and Prices were 63.2.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February is 50.8, Employment 47.7, Inventories 48.2, Supplier Deliveries 45.9 and Prices 69.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
