An Ivey MBA student team brought home the winning trophy from The QMARC Balancing Effect Case Competition at the Smith School of Business, Queen's University last week.

The first place team, consisting of Rosalind Bei, Ryan Min, Shane Freedman, Bryan Hua, and Kyle Cruz, competed against teams from business schools across Canada, including Rotman and Queen’s. A total of eight teams from Ivey participated in the competition – the most teams from any school.

The competition challenged students to get creative and develop a digital marketing strategy for Urban Hippie Granola, a start-up granola company. Teams were given three weeks to prepare their strategy and presented to a panel of industry judges from companies including Loblaw and Price Waterhouse Consulting.
