Admissions
Admission decisions are communicated to the applicant via email. If you receive an offer of admission, we encourage you to talk to a faculty members in your chosen field and to our current PhD students. Names and contact information will be provided upon request. A personal visit to meet these individuals and tour our facilities is strongly encouraged.
Scholarships, Awards & Loans
PhD students admitted to the program receive a four year funding package that is competitive and normally consists of fellowships and a research assistantship.
Students have the potential to increase their funding package by winning external awards such as the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS).
International students receive an additional award, the PhD Tuition Grant, to cover the difference between domestic and international tuition fees. PhD students also receive funding for thesis expenses and for academic conference activities.
Application Deadlines
The on-line application form and all supporting documents including official transcripts and test scores are due in the PhD Program Office by January 15.
You can apply on-line beginning October 15 of the current calendar year for admission the following September.
