Ivey’s PhD students are an outstanding group of young scholars. Many have won external scholarships and have already produced award-winning dissertations and research papers.

Our PhD Program reflects the orientation of the School: a genuine interest in the issues confronting managers and students of management, as well as a desire to help them understand these issues. Our students are well trained in research methods and pursue rigour, but not at the loss of relevance. Teaching excellence is also highly valued and we formally train our students in teaching materials development and classroom delivery.

While we have strongly shared core values, diversity is embraced. Nowhere is this more true than with our PhD students whose background and interests are varied. This variety provides the basis for a vibrant educational experience.

The links below contain information about our faculty and their interests. Applicants are encouraged to read this information carefully and identify faculty with whom they have compatible interests.

The faculty information is organized by discipline. But cross-area research is encouraged and you may want to look beyond the normal boundaries in your search for compatible interests.
