Robert Austin

EDI Advisory Council Member Robert D. Austin is a Professor of Information Systems at Ivey Business School and an affiliated faculty member at Harvard Medical School and Aarhus School of Business and Social Science. He has held prior faculty appointments at Copenhagen Business School, the University of New Brunswick (where he also served as dean of the business faculty), and Harvard Business School. He is author or co-author of eight books, most recently The Adventures of an IT Leader (Harvard Business Review Press, 2016) and has published widely in academic and practitioner journals, e.g. Organization Science and Harvard Business Review. He has held management positions at Ford and Novell and was CEO of the largest executive education provider in northern Europe. He is considered an international authority on neurodiversity employment and has a grant from Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) to study best practices in this area.
