Executive and Leadership Coach

Sharon Pitawanakwat

As a Senior Leader, Sharon has spent 30 years immersed in organizational development and strategic change management within the Not-For-Profit sector. The many challenges she faced in this sector led her to executive coaching, where she utilizes her experience to transform cultures of negativity, drama, and toxicity into a culture of positivity, creativity, and innovation. Sharon envisions a world where inspired self-aware and fulfilled leaders create happy, engaged, and inspiring workplaces. Her mission is to partner with these leaders, providing them with the executive coaching support they need to do just that!

Sharon brings the lived experience of her own “three worlds” (executive leadership, Indigenous teachings, and the technology of Kundalini Yoga) into her executive coaching practice, Three Worlds Executive Coaching and Organizational Development.

Sharon has over 30 years of progressive leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector serving as a CEO and Executive Director in the mental health and addictions field for the last decade. Sharon is an Indigenous woman and a member of Wikwemikong First Nation. She brings a holistic and balanced perspective to leadership challenges, leaning on her Indigenous teachings to create inner balance in an often-unbalanced unpredictable world. As a Kundalini yogi, she brings practices from an ancient technology that help heal our nervous and glandular systems supporting greater resilience, concentration, and stamina within leaders. She believes this unique combination can support leaders in creating sustainable change.

Sharon serves on the Board of Directors of the National Canadian Mental Health Association holding the position of secretary on the Executive, and is also serving as the Chair of their Truth and Reconciliation Steering committee.

Sharon is a Registered Nurse by profession (1991), a graduate of Royal Roads Certificate in Executive Coaching (2015), Group and Team Coaching (2017) and Professional Mentor Coaching (2022) programs; a TED*and 3VQ Coach, Practitioner and Trainer (2015, 2018, 2019); a coach and train the trainer of the Coaching out of the Box methodology (2016); and a graduate of the Ivey Lift Advanced Coaching program (2023). Sharon’s executive coaching philosophy is simple, our answers lie within. When we take the time to listen and explore this inner knowledge, we find a powerful source of strength, resilience, and confidence, which we can leverage to create healthy, balanced, and inspired workplaces. This is her passion.
