This AMBA program is designed for those who have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business (commerce/management). As well, we require you to have taken specific courses: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour and Operations. If you do not have a bachelor’s degree in business, you may wish to consider our one-year full-time MBA program, or our Executive MBA program depending on your years of experience.
The program is designed for those who have 2-9 years of work experience. Candidates who have slightly less than two years of full-time work experience will not be excluded from consideration in the application process. If you have more than nine years of experience, we recommend that you consider our Executive MBA program. We encourage applicants to think critically about when the right time is for them to pursue an MBA, and which program will be the best fit for them.
Meeting the minimum requirements means that you are eligible to apply. Since much of the admissions process looks at things such as your essays, interview, and references, we cannot predict your success before you apply to the program.
As the program scheduled is structured to allow you to continue in your career while completing your MBA, we do not have any scholarships or financial aid for this program. However, we do have the Ivey Preferred Loan program, with various Canadian banks to offer a student loan to admitted students. We also offer travel bursaries for students who are coming from outside of the GTA.
Yes, this program does qualify for OSAP. However the income level of most of our applicants is too high to qualify. For more information, please see: OSAP.
We will admit 35-45 students this year.
We do not allow deferrals. However, you are welcome to reapply, and declining your offer will not negatively affect any future applications.
You can expect to spend 20-30 hours a week at your own pace, wherever you might be. This includes online modules, case preparation, and other projects and assignments, both group, and individual.
This program is designed for those who are looking to accelerate their career, staying within the same company, function or industry. If you are looking to make a larger career change, then the Ivey Accelerated MBA for Business Graduates program may not be the best fit for you, and we would recommend that you look into our Ivey’s Full-Time MBA program.
Ivey does not provide placement services for Accelerated MBA students. However, we offer support in career management strategy and deliver professional career development advice. Recruitment fairs and recruitment events are intended by the companies specifically for our full-time MBA students as this is the talent they are seeking out, and will not be available to Accelereated MBA students. You will have access to the Ivey MBA Jobs board.
