He obtained his Canadian Chartered Accountant designation in 1983 and was admitted into the partnership in 1991. Bryan served a number of high growth private and public companies in an audit and advisory capacity with E&Y in London until he transferred with the firm to launch the Corporate Finance & Entrepreneurial Services practice for E&Y in the Caribbean in 1994 - a practice which he built and grew until leaving Barbados in December 2000. While in the Caribbean Bryan launched the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program in Barbados and Trinidad.

Bryan transferred to the Boston office of E&Y in the beginning of 2001 to design and launch the US Firm's new Venture Capital Advisory Group ("VCAG") initiative which was designed to take E&Y to a market leadership position serving leading US & Israeli VC firms and their portfolio companies - a position which E&Y continues to hold. He also led the Northeast Strategic Growth Markets Practice (VC, PE, IPO and Russell 2000 market segments) between 2003 and 2009 while also serving as Coordinating Partner on a number of accounts, including Philips North America.

In 2010, in addition to his Americas VCAG Leadership Role, Bryan assumed leadership of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Awards program ("EOY") - now in its 26th year and many of the firms related entrepreneurship initiatives in the Americas. He is responsible for the EOY program operations in 26 markets in the US, 5 in Canada and throughout Latin America and in Israel. In this role, Bryan is responsible for driving annual nominations, sponsorships, independent judging, an extensive EOY alumni organization with over 8,000 US members and its own on-line alumni community etc. and our related public policy initiatives relative to entrepreneurship. As a result of these activities, Bryan is a sought-after commentator in the media (including Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, CNN Money, Inc, Portfolio.com, CBS etc.) Bryan has also lectured at the University level including Bentley College, Boston College etc. and is a frequent Conference speaker on VC and Entrepreneurship.
