- Umar ElBably, HBA '19, always knew he had an idea worth pursuing. The continued evolution of the men's grooming market, and changing attitudes on gender, have created the perfect storm for him to pursue his New Venture Project, Huemen, a new and approachable make-up brand that aims to help men look and feel their best. ElBably will be continuing the next phase of his journey with San Francisco-based Bolt, a venture capital firm investing at the intersection of software and physical goods.
- For the past year, Anthony Xie, HBA '15, has been one of the three co-founders of a Waterloo-based cryptocurrency startup that has witnessed $60 million of transactions. HodlBot gives everyday investors an easy and inexpensive way to bet on the cryptocurrency market as a whole. With a growing user base from around the world, explore Xie's journey from being unable to code at Ivey, to coding a business into existence.
