HBA 1977 Reunion Gift

Our 40th reunion year is a time to renew ties with classmates and to reflect on what Ivey means to us. It's also a time for us to come together and participate in the strong Ivey tradition of giving back.

Collectively, our class has raised over $225,000 for the Class of '77 scholarships, named initially in memory of Howard Teall, one of the first of our classmates to pass away. Sadly, we have lost a number more classmates since graduation. In their memory and for the class at large, we are proposing to provide two awards going forward, one from the existing endowment fund set up in honour of Dr. Teall and a new one, named the Past Future Forward Award.

We recognize the cost of tuition today is much different from when we were students. In future, our class scholarships will recognize leadership and academic skills for those HBA students who are in financial need, thereby alleviating some of the burden of tuition.

To achieve this, we need to raise a minimum of $100,000 which would bring our accumulated funds to $325,000. Imagine if we could reach $400,000 in this our 40th Reunion year! To encourage our efforts, one of our classmates has generously stepped forward to match all donations, up to $100,000 including multi-year pledges. This means we need $50,000 - $90,000+ collectively from the rest of us to make these goals. Please help!

As we get closer to our Reunion, please consider a gift to support our scholarship objectives so we can make a lasting legacy. All donations are greatly appreciated.

The Ivey Fund. Our Venture Capital.

When you give back to Ivey, it’s not just a donation, it’s an investment in the future. It provides the venture capital we need to stay on the leading edge of innovation while maintaining our standard of excellence. That’s why we call it the Ivey Fund.

The same way your Ivey experience was made possible by generous donations, current students rely on alumni like you to pay it forward. Regardless of when you graduated or how much you can give, we need you to continue to be a part of our team. Invest in the Ivey Fund today.

All gifts by class members made between September 1, 2016 and October 31, 2017 count toward the Reunion Campaign totals. Read more about reunion counting.
