Diane Silva is the Director of Philanthropy at London Community Foundation (LCF), a public charitable foundation that is part of a national movement of 191 community foundations across Canada. A member of LCF’s senior leadership team, Diane leads the Foundation’s philanthropy strategy, growing and stewarding its donor base. During her nine years at LCF, Diane has significantly raised the profile of the Foundation and helped support its growth from approximately $50 million to $109 million in endowment. Diane is passionate about engaging donors through innovative giving tools such as impact investing, and connecting and educating donors about the funding needs of equity seeking groups in our community. Diane is also the host of LCF’s podcast What London Can Be where she speaks with experts, leaders and changemakers about the critical challenges facing our city and what we can do to foster a more vibrant, resilient and just community.
Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western University. Prior to joining LCF, Diane began her career at Municipal Property Assessment Corporation where she was responsible for the London and Regional office’s Human Resources and Financial Services. She then served over eight years at the Richard Ivey School of Business holding progressive management positions in development, alumni relations as well as Executive Development where she worked with Fortune 500 companies and Ivey’s alumni.
In her spare time, Diane volunteers for Meals on Wheels and is Vice Chair of the board. She loves spending quality time with friends and family, and enjoys staying active with a good game of tennis!
