It is hard to believe that we have only 3 months left to go in our Ivey MBA journey! As we enter the new year, I can’t help but reflect upon some great memories in 2013. One of the biggest highlights for me was participating in the first ever Ivey Olympics—an incredible two-day event organized by the talented folks in our MBA Association. Four teams—Black, Blue, Green, and Red—battled it out to claim top prize in activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, dodgeball, charades as well as some fun “networking” games in the evening at Jacks.

The two days of games culminated in an epic relay race that truly challenged our athleticism, wit and spirit. What was amazing about the Ivey Olympics was witnessing not only the friendly competition one would expect from business school students, but also the teamwork and spirit that everyone showcased. I saw my teammates run alongside our designated sprinter during the relay race shouting encouraging words, study 50+ years of Ivey facts for the trivia event, and form a human shield to block out the glare of the sun as we frantically assembled a holographic jigsaw puzzle during the finale event. Events like the Ivey Olympics bring out the best in all of us and remind us of just how awesome the Ivey family is.

Go Team Black!
