MBA Games Ultimate Frisbee Champions

Mar 12, 2014

Mar 12 2014 Mba Games

After a late night of ‘networking’ with fellow MBAs, Ivey’s finest congregated for what was an inaugural ultimate frisbee game for some of our players. Over morning coffees we discussed rules and strategy while watching the high-level games already underway. Our first three games gave us an opportunity to learn and try some of the concepts we had talked about. The team’s academic prowess proved useful on the pitch as we quickly unified and went undefeated all morning.

After showing some support for our volleyball team we came back to the indoor field at St. Michaels for playoffs. While McMaster and Laval proved to be extremely competitive teams, Ivey prevailed and went onto the finals against Dalhousie. The final match was a nail-biter, as both teams hucked full-field passes and went point for point for the majority of the game.

With the Ivey contingent cheering us on from the sidelines, we were able to pull out a 9-7 victory to win the MBA Games Ultimate Frisbee Championship.
Thanks to a great team who made this possible!

Tyler MbaAbout Tyler:

Tyler was born and raised in Toronto and spent the last few years working for Cushman & Wakefield as a commercial real estate broker. When he’s not flying through the air catching Frisbees, he can be found on the golf course or ski hill (weather dependent). Upon graduating, he hopes to stop advising and start actually owning some real estate.
