Consumer behaviour and preferences are rapidly changing and disruptors like Amazon have shaken up the retailing industry. Working for the past five years in retail allowed me to develop not only a deep understanding of the industry but also encounter the many challenges retailers are facing today. I wanted to be at the forefront of this change and hence decided to pursue the MBA. My decision criteria for schools was simple: I was looking to further expand my network in Canada and I wanted to learn in a case-based environment. Ivey was an easy choice.

Through the admissions process, I interacted not only with the admissions team but also with alumni who provided candid feedback regarding their experience at Ivey. Having these conversations up front helped me mentally prepare for the year ahead. These past few months have been a whirlwind — challenging yet rewarding. The class is diverse, not only culturally but also professionally. This diversity drives engaging conversations in the classroom facilitated by faculty who push us to think critically. The Career Management team works with students to ensure market readiness prior to recruiting season. Living in London makes Ivey a truly immersive experience and this has enabled me to build strong relationships with classmates and faculty alike.
