Hey MSc Blog Readers!

It’s hard to believe we’re almost ¾ done our degrees! While there has still been lots of group work, classes, and social events, this semester has been a little different with recruiting, interviews, and more variety in classes.

Networking this semester has been a great experience. As a class we got the opportunity to connect with some really inspiring people in our field of choice. For those who have already received and accepted positions CONGRATULATIONS! And for those still looking there’s plenty of time left and I hope you find exactly what you’re looking for!

This semester there has been a lot more opportunity to connect with students outside your stream. There are lots of elective classes that aren’t restricted to a specific stream so you can learn from even more unique individuals. In October the entire MSc class competed in a case competition. During this we got to work with exchange students who are completing this semester at Ivey! This was a great chance to work and learn from students with completely different backgrounds.

My personal favourite part of the semester so far has been our MSc Softball Team, The Poison Iveys. While we started out a little slow losing our first two games, we’ve really turned it around and have now won back to back games!

With only a few weeks left in the semester we are finishing up some final group projects and preparing for final exams. After that we have a month off to explore the world, see friends and family, and relax after a busy semester. We’ll be back in January and can’t wait to welcome our new cohort of MSc 2020’s!

Until next time,

Corinne
