Ivey Launches New Masters Program - Masters of Management in Analytics

Meeting demand for professionals who can interpret vast amounts of data to solve business problems

The Ivey Business School announced the launch of a new Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) Program to begin in fall of 2021. The MMA is designed for professionals who want to advance their career by applying data to solve real-world business challenges.

Combining online learning with in-class sessions, the 12-month, while-you-work program is intended for quantitatively strong professionals with two to 10 years of work experience and a degree in business, economics, or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

Pending COVID-19 safety restrictions, the program will be conveniently located at Ivey’s downtown Toronto campus, students attend two class days per month while maintaining their full-time job. In-class sessions are augmented by online learning on a weekly basis and three week-long in-residence learning experiences at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre in London.

“Ivey’s one-year MMA meets the growing need for individuals who understand the technical aspects of analytics and apply them to solve business problems,” says Greg Zaric, Faculty Director, Master of Management in Analytics Program. “The program gives students who already possess strong quantitative skills the opportunity to develop the data-driven business decision-making skills that they need to succeed and lead.”

Based in Ivey’s world-class Case Method Learning, the MMA is delivered in a powerful and transformative learning environment that draws on the diverse experiences and perspectives of both faculty and students.

“The Master of Management in Analytics Program is responding to the needs of a data-driven business landscape,” says J.D. Clarke, Executive Director, Masters Programs, Recruitment and Admissions. “There is a growing demand for professionals to interpret vast amounts of data. Students will learn how to merge the art of management analytics with world-class business leadership skills.”

Applications open March 1 for the program that starts in September 2021.
