Cheng’s research interests lie in the area of nonmarket strategy, with a focus on firm-government and firm-society relationships. Specifically, she examines how government ownership affects firm behavior and outcomes, and how partner misbehavior affects the corporate social responsibility performance of global firms. Cheng holds an MSc in Financial Economics from Cardiff University and has published research in the field of international business.
