Interacting Corporate Political Activities with Evidence from the Tobacco Industry

Professor Brandon Schaufele and PhD Alumni Kartik Rao examine the strategic nonmarket interactions of large US tobacco manufacturers. They find that when it comes to firm-level political campaign contributions, these firms strategically coordinate, rather than act in isolation.
