Additional Funding
Additional Funding is designed to support research based proposals beyond the limits of Research Base Funding and Start-up Funding. Requests are reviewed and adjudicated by the Research Policy Committee (RPC) three times per fiscal year. Please submit your request by:
- End of July 2023 for August 2023 RPC adjudication
- End of September 2023 for October 2023 RPC adjudication
- End of January 2024 for February 2024 RPC adjudication
Amount: Up to $10,000 per fiscal year.
Criteria: Additional Funding requests are scored by Impact and Challenge (50%), Capability (30%), and Budget and Funding Needs (20%).
Conference Funding
- End of July 2023 for August 2023 RPC adjudication
- End of September 2023 for October 2023 RPC adjudication
- End of January 2024 for February 2024 RPC adjudication
Criteria: Conference Funding requests are scored by alignment of the conference to Ivey's strategic goals, impact on research and Ivey's Research Brand, cost of the conference, and evaluation of need.
Case Writer Funding
Early Career Impact Award
High-quality research production and dissemination are integral parts of the Ivey mission. We are proud to recognize and support our faculty in their efforts to produce world‐class research. The Early Career Impact Award supports this initiative and recognizes pre‐tenured faculty members engaged in impactful and high-quality research. The award is given to pre‐tenured faculty employed by Ivey for at least two full years prior to the nomination.
Research impact can be defined by a number of qualitative and quantitative measures, including
- Publication in high-impact outlets;
- Significant influence on the development of other research publications (e.g., citations);
- Recipience of external awards;
- Recognition as a topical or methodological expert by invited presentations, organized symposia, or chaired conference tracks; and
- Exploration of important management problems, business problems, or development of novel lines of

To support a nomination please complete the Support for Early Career Impact Award 2023 form. Please note that each nomination must include support from one or more senior faculty.
The deadline for nominations was Aug 28, 2023. All nominations will be adjudicated by the Research Policy Committee with a final recommendation to the Dean.

The Chairs, Professorships and Fellowships are designed to develop innovative research and teaching materials to broaden the dissemination of the Ivey Business School's unique teaching and research programs. 2023 Ivey Critical Issues Challenge
The goal of the Ivey Critical Issues Challenge is to support initiatives which advance our institutional commitment to the Critical Issues facing business and society, inspire partnerships and collaboration both within Ivey and with external stakeholders, and have the potential for innovative impact within the areas of programs, research and outreach.
The main objective is to support high-impact projects that address one or more of the Ivey Critical Issues and have the potential to lead to intellectual, cultural, social and economic impact. There are up to eight awards available for projects addressing three areas: Research, Programs, and Outreach. Each award will have a maximum value of $150,000 per project. Funding may be used over a two-year term.
