Andrew Noseworthy is the Assistant Deputy Minister (Clean Technologies) with Industry, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).  Within ISED, he oversees policy and operational activities related to clean technology and decarbonization in Canada including the “Clean Growth Hub” (which provides Canadian clean technology companies with single window access to federal programs and services) and the “Industrial Decarbonization Team” (which works with the proponents of large industrial decarbonization projects as they seek to refine their project plans and seek financing).  He has also served as co-secretary to the economic strategy tables on clean technology and resources of the future.  Mr. Noseworthy serves as an ex-officio federal representative on the Boards of Canada’s Oceans Supercluster (OSC), Petroleum Research Newfoundland and Labrador (PRNL), Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), the Clean Resources Innovation Network (CRIN) and the Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada (PTAC). Prior to joining the Public Service of Canada in July 2003, Mr. Noseworthy had an 18-year career with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, where he held a number of senior appointments, including as Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Deputy Clerk and Associate Secretary to Cabinet, and Assistant Secretary to Cabinet (Economic Policy). In 2001, Mr. Noseworthy was seconded by the Province to the Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada (Romanow Commission) and served as Executive Director. Following the SARS crisis, he also led a federal task force on the establishment of a Canadian Public Health Agency.
