HBA Sustainability Certificate
Empowering the next generation of sustainable leaders
Christian’s passion for sustainability grew from spending 18 months as a diving instructor on Andros Island in the Bahamas. On Andros, Christian led a coral restoration initiative in partnership with the Reef Rescue Network, artificially growing staghorn coral for outplanting on Bahamian reefs. He also ran a community diving program with the Andros Nature Conservancy to teach local youth swimming and diving skills. In addition to open water diving, Christian is interested in underwater cave conservation and holds a cave diving rating with the National Speleological Society’s Cave Diving Section.
During University, Christian volunteered as a Medical Responder and Training Evaluator with Western’s Student Emergency Response Team (SERT) and worked as an Instructor with the Ivey LEADER Project, a program that teaches business to entrepreneurs in emerging regions around the world. Now a graduate of the Ivey HBA program, Christian works as an Associate Consultant for Bain & Company in Toronto.
