Founded in 1954 by new Canadian immigrants from Italy, the Montreal based Saputo family built their eponymously named firm into the largest dairy processor in Canada, third largest cheese producer in the Unites States, third largest dairy processor in Argentina and fourth largest in Australia making Saputo one of the top ten dairy processors in the world. Now a publically listed firm, third generation family member Patricia is chief financial officer of Placement Italcan Inc., a holding company and family office. Patricia is responsible to protect, diversify and grow the investments of her enterprising family branch. She remains a Board member of Saputo Inc. and her training in wealth management, succession and estate planning position her well to understand the needs of a transitioning entrepreneurial family. Patricia will share some of her experiences in the tradition of our celebration of family enterprise.
