Homecoming 2014

An incredible number of Ivey alumni and guests - over 1,100 people - returned to the School September 19-21 to celebrate Ivey Homecoming. We are also very pleased to report $2.3 million was raised by the generous reunion classes to commemorate their milestone reunions.

On Friday, Homecoming was kicked off with the Richard G. Ivey Speaker Series with David Kassie, MBA '79, Chairman of Canaccord Genuity Corp, as our key note speaker.

The highlight of the weekend was Saturday's open house. Over 80 student volunteers who were on hand to welcome alumni, give them a tour of our impressive facility, and talk about their own Ivey experience. On Friday and Saturday night, classmates reunited at various venues around the city - from formal cocktail receptions to casual house parties.

We were also pleased to announce this year's Ivey Distinguished Service Award recipients: Laurie Campbell, MBA '89, Patrick Crowley, HBA '74, and David Kassie, MBA '79; and the Alumni Faculty Service Award recipient: Professor Jim Erskine, MBA '67. We have created a video that highlights their outstanding contributions to the School. Please take a few minutes to meet these four deserving individuals and learn more about their connections to Ivey. [view video]

On Sunday, 120 alumni and guests attended the time-honoured Golden Alumni Lunch in the Grand Hall of the Richard Ivey Building. Once again, it was the perfect end to a memory-filled weekend.

Many thanks to all those who came back to celebrate!
