Associate Professor Oana Branzei is among the first round winners for the 2014 EFMD Case Writing Competition.

Her case, WWF's Living Planet @ Work: Championed by HP, written by Branzei, Dwarka Chakravarty from Ivey, and Haiying Lin from the University of Waterloo, was awarded first place in the “Corporate Social Responsibility” category.

The case was written about the unlikely pairing between a large corporation, Hewlett Packard (HP) Canada, and an environmental nongovernmental organization, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Canada. Together, the two organizations created a word-first program, Living Planet @ Work (LP@W), that aims to help Canadian corporations use their employees for both the good of the business and the future of our planet. The case explores how the organizations could take their program to the next level and expand beyond Canada.

EFMD has hosted this annual case writing competition for the last 30 years. There are a variety of categories, each focusing on specific issues around the world.
