Ivey PMI falls in December

Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of December 2015 stood at 49.9. The corresponding figure for December 2014 was 55.4 and for December 2013 was 46.3.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for December stood at 59.7.  Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 50.8, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 54.3 and Prices were 61.9.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of December  is 42.5, Employment 54.5, Inventories 45.5, Supplier Deliveries 50.0 and Prices 56.3.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of November 2015 stood at 63.6. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for November stood at 53.8. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 58.4, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 53.4 and Prices were 55.2.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
