This preliminary assessment will help you better understand what we’re looking for from our applicants and give you an early indication if Ivey is the right fit for you.
Buying an MBA takes significant time and exploration to help determine which school has the MBA experience you’re seeking. Tuning into podcasts, attending events, and having conversations with admissions advisors, students, and alumni will give you a sense of the program culture and experience and will help you assess your 'fit' for the program.
To apply to Ivey Business School, we ask you to assemble and prepare a variety of materials that will help us assess your qualifications. Ensure you meet all admission criteria and have all required supporting documentation before starting your application.
Application Deadlines
Our program begins each year in March. Please keep in mind that we process applications on a rolling basis, and both admissions and scholarship decisions are handed out between application deadlines. You do not need to wait for a deadline to apply and decisions are made within 4-6 weeks. Offer and/or scholarship decision likelihood is the same across all our recruiting rounds. This means, that applying in the earlier round does not mean there is a higher chance of offer and scholarship. Similarly, applying in the last round does not mean there is less likelihood of an offer and scholarship.

We begin reviewing applications for interview consideration as soon as we have received all application components. Approximately 75% of applicants will be selected for the admission interview stage. Notification will come through email within two business days of a submitted application.
It is not necessary to contact Ivey to confirm receipt of the application components. Applicants will be contacted if any information or components of their application are missing.
The general timeline from application submitted to offer decision is between four to six weeks.
Our admissions interviews give us the opportunity to ensure that you are the right fit for Ivey Business School.
Applicants selected for an admission interview will be provided with a variety of dates to choose from for their one-hour virtual interview with Career Management.
- Ivey conducts interviews by invitation only.
- All candidates admitted to the Ivey MBA are interviewed at least once.
- Chosen candidates receive further detail regarding expectations and preparation tips within the interview invitation.
In order to be considered for an admissions award, applicants must complete the Scholarships section within the online MBA admission application. There is no separate application for individual consideration. Scholarships are based on the merit of the applicant. Successful award recipients will be notified at the time of their offer.
Approximately 80% of our incoming students (both domestic and international) receive an admission scholarship, ranging from $10,000 to $70,000. Offer and/or scholarship decision likelihood is the same across all our recruiting rounds.
